Thailand: Ministerial Regulation Mandates Safety Requirements for Audio, Video and Similar Electronic Apparatus

On 2 March 2021, Thai Ministry of Industry published a Ministerial Regulation under the authority of the Industrial Product Standards Act.

The Regulation clarifies that domestic-used audio, video and similar electronic apparatus shall comply with Thai Industrial Standard TIS 1195-2561 (2018) which specifies the safety requirements. It is approved according to the Announcement No. 5505 of the Ministry of Industry dated 27 December 2019.

The standard will become mandatory from 29 August 2021.
