On 1 May 2024, the Governor of Colorado State signed the bill (SB 24-0811) to amend the requirements of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) ban and product disclosure.
In 2022, Colorado passed the bill HB 22-13452, which bans certain consumer products containing intentionally added PFAS and requires manufacturers of cookware with PFAS to disclose this information. The bill has been amended to expand the PFAS ban and remove the disclosure requirements for cookware.
