INDIA: EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE FOR MANDATORY CERTIFICATION OF MTCTE PHASE III AND IV PRODUCTS UNTIL 1 JULY 2023

On 13 June 2022, the Indian Telecommunication Engineering Centre (Department of Telecommunications) published Notification No. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/131 as an amendment to a previously issued notice with the number of No. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/112 dated: 31/01/2022.

According to the amendment, the deadline for Mandatory Certification of MTCTE Phase III and IV Products has been extended until 1 July 2023. The last date of acceptance of test reports issued by labs accredited by International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) signatories from non-border sharing countries has been extended from initially given ILAC relaxation till 30 June 2022 to 30 June 2023.

This notification shall be applicable for all the products mentioned in the notification issued vide 5- 2/2021-TC/TEC/112 dated: 31/01/2022 except for the products mentioned in the Gazette notification issued vide S.O. 2372(E) dated 24/05/2022. Further, all other conditions and details mentioned in the notification issued vide 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/112 dated: 31/01/2022 shall remain unchanged.
