CERTIFICATION MARK FOR MATERNAL AND INFANT WASHING MACHINES AND WASHER-DRYERS
SCOPE:
This certification mark is for maternal and infant washing machines / washer-dryers.
BASIS OF CERTIFICATION (TEST REQUIREMENTS):
The certification mark is awarded within the framework of voluntary testing and certification. It demonstrates that the product has been tested and certified by the third-party organisation TÜV SÜD. The certification mark is only affixed to products that undergo inspection by TÜV SÜD Product Service and comply with the criteria quoted below.
KEY STATEMENTS OF THE CERTIFICATION MARK:
Low noise
The A-weighted sound power level for the washing cycle, water extraction cycle, and drying cycle shall not exceed the relative noise limit.
Maternal and infant washing machines / washer-dryers
A maternal and infant washing machine / washer-dryer shall meet the requirements for Microbial Elimination, Washing Efficiency Index, Rinsing Effectiveness, Emission Noise, and Special Stain Washing Performance.
Microbial elimination
- The allergen elimination rate shall be at least 99%.
- The bacterial removal rate shall be at least 99.9%.
- The mite elimination rate shall be at least 99%.
Special stain washing
The Washing Efficiency Index for blood stains, urine stains, and milk stains shall be more than 1.031.
