CERTIFICATION MARK FOR ACCESSiBILITY
SCOPE:
This certification service is applied to ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) equipment and associated services regarding the requirements for accessibility as required by the EU under the "European Accessibility Act” (EU Directive 2019/882).
BASIS OF CERTIFICATION (REQUIREMENTS):
Testing of accessibility requirements of the provided ICT products against its functionality that is needed to enable users with different abilities to locate, identify and operate functions in technology.
Functional performances are evaluated on specific technical accessibility criteria, including equipment with bidirectional voice communication, video capabilities, hardware operatable parts, non-web information, and interfaces in web and software environment defined in the scope of regulation.
Required/Tested Norms are EN 301 549 and corresponding W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
WCAG.
KEY STATEMENTS OF THE CERTIFICATION MARK:
Products has been tested independently, and applicable accessibility requirement was assessed based on EN 301 549. Tested parts include for example on devices handling of general computing, audio and video communication, Audio visual broadcasting and streaming, e-reading, as well as payment, ticketing and communication terminal devices. All tested parts of the provided product and associated services have proven usable against the particular needs of persons with different disabilities.
