Ask me Anything on Digital Twin | ISO 19650

Q&A panelist on implementation and certification of ISO 19650

Q&A panelist on implementation and certification of ISO 19650

Digital Twin and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) are important outcomes of today’s Built Environment. A core element for achieving a Digital Twin and IDD is the Digital Information Management across all project stages (design, construction, operation).

Governments across the globe such as United Kingdom (National Digital Twin program), Germany (Federal Digital Built Masterplan) and Singapore (IDD, Smart FM, Design for Maintainability etc) are requesting ISO 19650 as the industry standard for public projects. Banks and financiers are adopting ISO 19650 compliance as the foundation of their projects and CAPEX investment policy. ISO 19650 is integral for a successful Digital Twin as the digital information management for BIM and Common Data Environment (CDE) across the project lifecycle. It sets the foundation for use cases such as building sustainability, safety and performance.

ISO 19650 standard is valuable to building owners, contractors and consultants to minimise wasteful activities, increase productivity and building quality. TÜV SÜD has implemented ISO 19650 in public, industrial and REIT portfolios with 220,000+ buildings and for 6,000 new built projects across the globe. We create blueprints and templates to help you to adapt and to be certified to ISO 19650 faster and with less costs for the industry.

in this Q&A session, we will answer practical key questions such as:

  • How to implement ISO 19650?
  • What are the core items of ISO 19650?
  • How can projects and companies be certified for ISO 19650?
