TÜV SÜD awards first ISO 19443 certificate in South Korea to Doosan Enerbility

On 6 July, TÜV SÜD announced that it had awarded its first ISO 19443 certificate in South Korea to Doosan Enerbility, one of the leading heavy industry conglomerates in Korea with a history spanning more than 60 years. ISO 19443 is a quality management standard for the nuclear industry designed to improve safety and quality throughout the nuclear supply chain.

TÜV SÜD awards first ISO 19443 certificate in South Korea to Doosan EnerbilityThe ISO 19443 standard defines the quality management system applicable to the design and manufacturing of equipment and parts for nuclear power plants. TÜV SÜD thoroughly audited Doosan Enerbility’s quality management system in accordance with the ISO 19443 standard including the elements of implementing a nuclear safety culture and establishing a system to prevent the intrusion of counterfeit, fraudulent and suspect items (CFSI) as well as risk analysis and risk management.
