TÜV SÜD Korea Issues the first IEC 25051-based Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Certification in Korea

On December 16, TÜV SÜD Korea announced to first issue an ISO/IEC 25051-based SQA (Software Quality Assurance) certification to MINTIT, an ICT (Information and Communications Technology) business, for its deletion software that performs the function of deleting personal information and data of Android phones. ISO/IEC 25051 is an international standard that measures software qualities including functional conformity, performance efficiency, and security.

Mintit developed 'Mintit ATMs', artificial intelligence-based used-phone purchasing machines by which customers can sell their used phones and receive payment automatically. With TÜV SÜD Korea’s SQA certification, Mintit proved its excellence in personal information security that consumers are most concerned when it comes to used-phone trading.

Jung-Wook Seo, Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Korea, said, "This SQA certification for Mintit is meaningful, since it was first issued in South Korea through TÜV SÜD, a global third-party testing and certification company. This shows commitment of Mintit to lead the domestic second-hand trading market of mobile phone and to secure customers' personal information.
