This training unit provides participants with the knowledge and application skills needed to improve productivity, preventing poor productivity practices and applying productivity techniques and linking it to the financial big picture.

On completion of this unit, learners will acquire the knowledge and skills in performing basic productivity practices in their workplace.

• The Basic Formula of Productivity
• Productivity Measurement and Goal Alignment
• Factors that improve productivity at the workplace
• Preventing Poor Productivity Practices at the Workplace
• Calculating Labor Productivity
• Areas That Create Internal Wastage
• The 8 Wastes in Detail
• Productivity Techniques and measuring the improvements
• Production Costing
This unit is delivered through classroom training with practical performance and oral presentation. This unit is one of the Specialisation Units leading to the award of WSQ Certified Productivity and Innovations Management certification. The course will be conducted in English.
There will be a 45 minutes written assessment at the last day of the class and 15 minutes practical performance, which will be done on a separate day (1 week from end of class).
