At the end of the course, participants with knowledge of automotive technology will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of EV charging principles and battery management system
  • Understand the fundamentals of EV charging designs and operation principles
  • Perform maintenance work independently and safely on EV vehicles
  • Recognise possible dangers of handling EVs and to put into practice all necessary protective measures

Who should take the course? 

This course is designed for automotive technicians, customer service advisors, workshop managers and engineers from the automotive engineering industry, as well as personnel and enthusiasts from vehicle sales, insurance, surveyor, and inspection companies.

Prerequisite: Applicants should preferably have Nitec or equivalent in Automotive or Electrical Technology with 2 years related working experience; or a Diploma with 1-year related working experience.

  • How do I enroll for the course?

  • What is the course methodology?
    Participants will learn through lectures, case studies, group exercises and discussions.
  • Upon completion of the course, would I get a certificate for completion?

    You will receive two certificates upon completion of the course:

    1. WSQ National EV Specialist Safety Certificate issued by the Land Transport Authority
    2. Certificate of Certified Technician in High Voltage Systems in Motor Vehicles issued by TÜV SÜD  

    Course completion is subject to the trainee achieving 75% attendance and passing all prescribed assessments and attaining 100% competency.

  • Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee?
    All Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above will be able to access their SkillsFuture Credit account and submit claims once they have received their account activation letter.  This option is only applicable to individual-sponsored applicants. 
    At the point of course registration, you should inform your Training Partner that you intend to use your SkillsFuture Credit by selecting this option in the online registration form.  We will send you the payment details for Skillsfuture Credit and other payment modes for the balance.  You should then submit your claim via MySkillsFuture within 60 days before the course start date (date inclusive).
    Once the course has started and you have already made an initial self-payment for a course in full, you will not be able to use SkillsFuture Credit for the course.
