TÜV SÜD is life cycle partner for rail projects

TÜV SÜD Rail will present its services at the 2018 InnoTrans, the world’s largest transport technology exhibition, to be held in Berlin from 18 to 21 September 2018. The rail services provider will highlight its role as a life cycle partner for rail projects. (CityCube, Hall A, Stand 412).

“Our Rail business unit has been synonymous with safe, reliable and high-availability services and processes in rail transport for many decades”, says Klaus Bosch, Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Rail GmbH. “We provide support for our customers’ projects throughout the entire life cycle, from planning, installation and placing into service to operation and, finally, withdrawal from service.” Services available from the Rail business unit include tests and impartial assessments, certification and training courses. Manufacturers, operators and public authorities benefit from TÜV SÜD Rail’s international network, made up of over 600 experienced specialists from Europe, Asia and the USA.

Dynamic vehicle simulations to optimise approval processes

At InnoTrans 2018, TÜV SÜD will demonstrate how manufacturers of rail vehicles and operators can benefit from dynamic vehicle simulation. “By using simulation technology, we can accelerate workflows in the approval process, minimise project risks and cut overall costs”, explains Klaus Bosch. TÜV SÜD offers a combination of extensive experience in dynamic vehicle simulation, in-depth expertise in all relevant legal requirements and a testing laboratory certified under EN 17025, enabling the company to provide support for manufacturers throughout the approval process in its capacity as Notified Body (NoBo), Assessment (AsBo), Designated Body (DeBo) and Independent Safety Assessor (ISA).
