The traditional process of façade inspection involves workers tethered with ropes scaling the building to take photographs. Such conventional façade inspection can be time, labour and cost intensive.

This is where smart façade inspection brings down the costs and makes the process faster and safer. It will become increasingly useful for building façade inspection in Singapore as the Building Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore began encouraging the use of drones.

Smart façade inspection technology uses AI drones to inspect the condition of the façade. The drone façade inspection captures and transmits images for engineers to identify the cause of damage and act on it. To put things into perspective, an AI drone can reduce the inspection time of a 30 to 40 storey building from weeks to 1 or 2 days.

The data collected by the drone is securely managed by TÜV SÜD’s drone building inspection platform, which is fully GDPR compliant and automatically masks any sensitive or private information to protect your privacy.

Our professional drone building façade inspection engineers are assisted by an advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) model to deliver compliant inspection reports at the highest industry standard. The software constructs a 3D model of the building façade, which helps to better understand the building structure and automatically locate the detected defects on the building.
