TÜV SÜD TECHNOLOGIES INTEGRATED
As part of our commitment to sustainability, TÜV SÜD @ IBP has integrated the latest technologies into its building design, construction and features of the building.
The facility is energy efficient with the utilisation of M&E design that provides up to 50% energy savings over 1 Science Park Drive premises. Radiant cooling complements this initiative, as we are currently assessing leading-edge radiant cooling solutions – which can further reduce up to 50% of cooling energy requirement.
Air change optimisation
The building’s design creates air change optimisation across laboratory floors and office floors, with the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) energy being reduced from 40 to 70%.
Flexi-desking and Green commute
Flexi desking is used to facilitate enhanced efficiency, collaboration and autonomy. Employees are even encouraged to opt for greener commutes, which can be accommodated by bicycle/personal mobility device (PMD) lots and electric vehicle charging stations.
The office floors received BCA’s Green Mark Platinum (Healthier Workplace), and the overall building received Gold (for New Non-Residential Buildings).
Biometric Security and RFID Tagging
Throughout the building innovative security and access systems implemented such as facial recognition for building access, laboratory access via smart phones, sensor detection within 10 metres to name a few. To facilitate the tracking of equipment during the move, RFID tagging for tracking assets is put in place which increases efficiency and saves time.
Green Mark Platinum and Gold – Our commitment to sustainability
Key features of our green mark certification include:
• Façade efficiency: ETTV 32.40 W/m2 - 35% performance over code requirement
• Lighting: LED lighting implementation which is 51% above code requirement
• Energy savings of 17% over current premises at 1 Science Park Drive.
• External and internal green wall, roof top garden
• Green Mark Platinum compliant chiller plant system
• High efficiency taps and water closets
• Integrated BMS system
Certified construction materials and Digital QC during construction
All construction material and equipment (e.g. concrete doors, façade, cables, etc.) are TÜV SÜD tested and / or certified, and construction quality control is ensured by applying RI BTI (indicate in full) digital enriched services.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
TÜV SÜD’s Building Information Modeling Management (BIM) is used for the facility’s base build and fit-out, together with the Facility Management model.
Smart Lifts and IoT technologies
TÜV SÜD’s current lift advisory services and Smart Lifts technologies are incorporated throughout the building resulting in smooth management and monitoring of lift operation.
