The new Singapore Standard, SS 651:2019 - Safety and Health Management System for the Chemical Industry is specifically developed for the chemical industry to address both occupational safety and health management system requirements and process safety management system requirements.

  • Companies with SS 506 Part 3:2013 accredited certification will be given 2 years to transit to the new SS 651:2019, i.e. by 31 December 2021.
  • From 1 April 2020 onwards, all new (initial) certification assessments to adopt SS 651:2019.
