Consumers today are aware of greenwashing and are wary of misleading sustainability claims and eco-claims that are reported on products and packaging. The Recycled Content Verification program helps manufacturers and suppliers to validate and communicate recycled content claims.

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU

TÜV SÜD conducts desk and factory verification on products upon receiving recycled content verification claims. It focuses on incoming materials control, manufacturing process control and quality assurance control to identify the existence and percentage of recycled contents in products. If the verification passes, TÜV SÜD will issue an official verification statement. Upon gaining customer’s consent and authorization, TÜV SÜD will publish verified products’ information on its traceability platform. This way, products using recycled materials can be traced in the whole supply chain.
