Singapore. TÜV SÜD PSB – the Singapore arm of the German testing, inspection training and certification giant – has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delta Electronics International – the global leader in power management and energy-saving solutions. This marks the beginning of a three-year-long bilateral collaboration between the companies to kickstart an industrial transformation. Leveraging on TÜV SÜD’s vast experience in delivering interactive instructor-led & e-learning courses, and Delta Electronics’ expertise in areas such as advanced manufacturing, smart industry, cyber-physical systems, and analytics, both parties will co-develop new training courses that help companies embark on digital transformation and improve their manufacturing competitiveness. TÜV SÜD and Delta Electronics will also develop a mobile application that will allow users to complete e-learning courses covering various, important aspects of the Industry 4.0 paradigm.
Technologies like Industrial IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Robotics, Big Data and Data Analytics have the potential to bring about a radical transformation of traditional industrial and manufacturing processes. Not all companies, however, possess the knowledge or the expertise to adopt these technologies in a manner that’s best suited for their business model and operations. TÜV SÜD and Delta Electronics will provide customised, interactive training solutions for their customers that will help them understand the specific requirements of their business and guide them in the complex process of transformation.
Commenting on the collaboration, TÜV SÜD PSB, said, “Delta Electronics is one of the most trusted players in the market. Collaborating with them will help us strengthen our service offerings by developing more high-quality, timely and accessible training programmes. The partnership will also help us strengthen our market presence. We are confident that our services will help guide our customers through the transformation efficiently.”
Dr. Thomas Li, Chief Technology Officer, Delta Electronics, Inc., said, “Smart learning envisions an integrated flow between learning and working at the workplace. For this goal, technology tools are in development to enable the platform to collect, develop and utilize knowledge needed for daily learning and working activities.”
The partnership will utilize DeltaKnEW Academy, a learning platform with both web version and mobile app with which users can connect and learn alongside others, exchange information seamlessly. It also provides multiple scenarios that match different levels of competencies and skills.
