Learn how to handle electric drives safely
Learn how to handle electric drives safely
Electric vehicle drives are gaining ground in both hybrid and pure electric vehicles. Voltage peaks of up to 1,000 volts can occur in these drives. Therefore, it is crucial that technicians working in workshops or for automotive manufacturers know how to handle high-voltage systems safely.
This e-mobility training program consists of 3 modules which you can register for as a bundle or separately.
The content is divided into three levels that cover non-electrical work, electrical work (disconnected) and live working:
With our practical, web-based self-learning program employees will be aware of the dangers associated with HV systems in motor vehicles such as EVs and hybrid vehicles, and how to provide first aid in an emergency.
Topics to be covered in this course include:
Duration: 45 minutes e-learning
Relevant for: Users of EV / Hybrid vehicles, and all employees without electrotechnology training who might come into contact with automobiles with high voltage systems.
Based on your professional knowledge as a vehicle electrician, mechatronician or mechanic, you can complete the course to become an electrician to work on vehicles with HV systems. You are then qualified to work independently and safely on vehicles with HV systems (e.g. electric cars, hybrid vehicles). In addition, you will be able to assess the work delegated to you, to reliably recognise possible dangers, and to put into practice all necessary protective measures.
Topics to be covered in this course include:
Duration: 4 Days Live Virtual Training
Relevant for: Persons without an electrical engineering education, but with a qualification as vehicle electrician, mechatronician or mechanic, whose area of work is going to include HV systems in powered vehicles
Funding: Funding support available under e2i programme*
(Terms & conditions apply. Enquire to find out more.)
You have completed the training for qualified electricians for HV systems in vehicles and will now log vehicle measurement data during motor operation in the scope of the research and development process. Because live working is only permitted in exceptional circumstances, we will train you for this specific function.
Topics to be covered in this course include:
Duration: 1 Day Live Virtual Training
Relevant for: Automobile electricians, Mechatronics engineers, Mechanics who have completed training as qualified electricians for HV systems in motor vehicles or who have completed vocational training as electrician, master electrician, electrical engineer in low-voltage technology.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
This course is specially designed for:
At the end of each course, participant will have to take an examination and will receive a certificate of completion upon passing the examination.
Assure safety, marketability and compliance throughout the entire value chain, right from electric vehicle components and systems to batteries and charging infrastructure.
Global Market Access
Partner with us to meet your local and global testing & certification requirements applicable in target markets, facilitated by globally accredited laboratories (DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025). Also gain confidence with us, as we support your requirements for approval tests under ECE-R100.02 and other international standards of all vehicle categories, systems and components.
Some key milestones with stakeholders
- Through a recently signed MoU with ComfortDelGro Engineering we have jointly developed a training programme that aims to upskill automotive technicians on the safe handling of high voltage systems in electric and hybrid vehicles. This partnership aims to set industry standards and enable more skilled technicians to be readily available as Singapore works towards a more sustainable future.
- Our strategic partnership with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has further enhanced our expertise in battery testing & certification, functional safety and other areas to provide services that will mitigate potential risks and help achieve steady & safe development of the global new energy industry.
- Our commitment to sustainability has been further cemented through a pilot project at Microvast GmbH, where we have developed a climate-friendly and sustainable approach, covering the entire product cycle of battery production. Using SDGs as a benchmark, our teams have identified specific indicators and opportunities for improvement of sustainability through regular tracking and monitoring.
