Ensure the safety of your chemical products in the EU.

WHAT IS REACH?

Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances and mixtures) has a very broad scope of application for manufacturing or importing companies in the EU, ranging from chemical substances as such to articles reaching the final consumer, with the exception of, among others, commercial food products, animal feed and medicinal products.

REACH COMPLIANCE SERVICES

  • Only Representative: Companies from outside the EU can also participate, given the global nature of supply chains, by providing documentation and any other required information. Under the scope of the REACH Regulation, non-EU companies can appoint an Only Representative to fulfil the obligations of their customers/importers. As Only Representative for non-EU companies, we will inform and carry out the tasks associated with supply chains, registration dossiers, reporting obligations, updates and other actions required by the competent authorities.
  • Registration of chemicals: Manufacturers and importers must register non-exempted substances that meet the threshold of one ton per year of manufacture or placing on the EU market, wether they are a chemical on its own, a part of a mixture, or a substance or mixture within an article. This will involve the compilation of documentation in the technical dossier and in particular the characterization of the substance. TÜV SÜD provides you with support in the preparation of the registration dossier and support in substance testing according to Annexes VII to X of the REACH Regulation in accredited laboratories, if necessary.
  • Preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Under the requirements of Article 31 of the REACH Regulation or at the request of the end user, the supplier of a substance or mixture shall provide the safety data sheet prepared in accordance with Annex II. For this purpose, we will validate your company's SDS if you are a manufacturer or distributor of substances or mixtures or we will prepare the necessary SDS from your own data, bibliographic data, the REACH registration data, etc., in coherence with the Chemical Safety Report when applicable.
