COVID-19 pandemic Supply Chain Impact – ISM Survey results

Coronavirus numbers

According to a recent survey released in March 2020 by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), nearly 75% of companies reported supply chain disruptions, in some capacity, due to coronavirus-related transportation restrictions, and more than 80% believe that their organisation will experience some impact because of COVID-19 disruptions. Of those, one in six (16%) companies reported adjusting revenue targets downward an average of 5.6 percent due to the coronavirus.

The numbers above demonstrate the severity of the current crisis. However, businesses that build a strategy to deal with the current and upcoming challenges can ensure that they minimise the impact and risk of the pandemic. The global economy needs to come together today to help people all around the globe to overcome this. Together we can achieve this and work towards a better tomorrow.
