Before starting the serial production, suppliers have to prove that their products and connecting processes do fulfil the necessary requirements in quality both internally and with the customers. This method is called “Production Process and Product Approval (PPA)” and is described in VDA Volume 2 “Quality Assurance for Supplies”. In the context of globalisation and digitisation of the working environment such an uniform procedure of PPA has become a central task within the quality management. Therefore, this VDA Volume 2 (6th edition) is aiming for an even more standardised release procedure to enhance the cooperation between company (Supplier) & customer. The new VDA Volume 2 (6th edition in 2020) will promote a partnership through a standardised release procedure within the supply chain. This leads to less friction loss within the interface between company and customer.

VDA Volume 2 “Quality Assurance for Supplies” describes the basic requirements for sampling of serial parts submission for automotive serial parts. This ensures that the customer’s expectations are understood and implemented by the supplier so that the product can be manufactured to maximum customer satisfaction. In this training, you will become familiar with and learn to apply the VDA standard.
The training alternates between technical presentations and application examples, which support the transfer of what has been learned into your own working practice. The use of the standard templates for the PPA process will be explained and practiced.

Delivered by TÜV SÜD South Asia as an approved licensee Of VDA QMC Germany.
Written / online examination at the end of the course.
Minimum passing criteria: 60%.
Participants who score 60% and above in the written / online examination will be issued a VDA Volume 2 e-qualification certificate.
