As companies rebuild, restructure or re-shore their supply chain, they need to establish new trustable supplier networks and apply additional environmental and social sustainability practices to the business along the supply chain and product life cycle phases. For example, choosing more sustainable raw materials to eliminate substances of concern and release to the environment, making effective use of resources and moving to renewable resource during manufacturing, increasing product utilization and ensuring recyclability and biodegradability after the end of life.
