E-Mobility Course

E-Mobility Course

Training duration: 1 Day

Course Overview

This awareness training educates anyone who may come into contact with high-voltage (HV) systems in motor vehicles about the potential dangers and necessary protective measures. Even without electrotechnical qualifications, participants gain fundamental knowledge of electrical hazards associated with HV systems and learn how to work safely and protect themselves, in compliance with DGUV-I 209-093 guidelines.

What will you learn?

  • Basic electrotechnical principles relevant to HV systems in motor vehicles
  • Potential electrical hazards and essential protective measures
  • Safe operation of vehicles and equipment with HV systems
  • Identification and location of HV components and lines within vehicles
  • Mechanical activities that can be safely performed without de-energizing the HV system (with emphasis on avoiding contact with orange-coloured components)
  • Procedures for decommissioning HV systems as an emergency safety measure as per manufacturer specifications
  • Organisational procedures for working under supervision and handling ambiguous situations

Course Outline

  • Electrical hazards and protective measures relating to HV systems
  • Safe operation and general activities on vehicles without de-energising HV systems
  • Identification of HV components and systems in vehicles
  • Safe mechanical work guidelines ("hands off orange")
  • Emergency decommissioning of HV systems
  • Protocols for unauthorised work and escalation procedures
  • Organisational safety procedures and supervision

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for employees without electrical engineering qualifications who may encounter HV components in vehicles during their duties. It is especially relevant for car workshop personnel and staff involved in automotive development and manufacturing.

Learning & Career Benefits

Participants will acquire the knowledge required to safely use and work on vehicles equipped with HV systems, understand associated hazards and protection measures, and respond effectively in case of electrical accidents.

Examination & Certification
