Course Overview 

This CQI / IRCA Approved ISO 50001:2018 Lead Auditor Training Program is a comprehensive and dynamic course designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills required to audit Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in accordance with ISO 50001:2018. This course goes beyond traditional learning, offering a flexible and interactive environment that combines modules, real-world case studies, and practical exercises. You will learn to effectively plan, conduct, report, and follow up on EnMS audits based on ISO 19011 and ISO 17021 (where applicable), enhancing organizational energy performance and sustainability.

Pre-requisites:

Participants should have prior knowledge including: 

  • Understanding of PDCA cycle and core elements of an energy management system 
  • Knowledge of energy management principles such as fuel combustion, heat transfer, energy flows, and related regulations 
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency methods, measurement, monitoring, and analysis of energy consumption 
  • Awareness of ISO 50001:2018 requirements and commonly used EnMS terminology

Examination & Certification 

  • Pre-test (online during course registration) requires a passing score of 50%
  • Continuous assessment during the course with a passing mark of 70%
  • Final written examination (closed book) held at the end of the course:
  • Total marks: 90
  • Passing criteria: 70% overall (63 marks) and minimum 50% in each of the 4 sections 

TÜV SÜD South Asia, as an approved CQI / IRCA training partner, delivers course PR366: EnMS ISO 50001:2018 Lead Auditor Training. Participants who successfully pass both the continuous assessment and written exam will receive the internationally recognized CQI / IRCA Lead Auditor certificate, carrying worldwide acceptance. Unsuccessful candidates will be issued a certificate of attendance.
