Training duration: 1 Day
Course Overview
Understand the importance and role of ergonomics in occupational health. Learn how ergonomic principles are applied to the design of industrial workplaces to prevent occupational injuries.
What Will You Learn?
Ergonomics is the scientific discipline focused on understanding interactions between humans and other system elements, applying theory, principles, data, and methods to design environments that optimise human well-being and system performance. This course covers the prevention of soft tissue injuries and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by force, vibration, repetitive motion, and awkward posture. An ergonomically sound workplace assists organisations in designing tasks, workspaces, controls, displays, tools, lighting, and equipment suited to employees’ physical capabilities and limitations. Ergonomics training supports compliance with legal obligations and operational control requirements under ISO 45001:2018.
