Electrical Safety

Electrical Safety

Training duration: 2 Days

Course Overview

Understand the importance of electrical safety and the basics of electricity. Learn to identify various electrical hazards and the measures to mitigate risks effectively.

What Will You Learn?

Electricity, if not used correctly, can cause severe injuries or fatalities, as well as property damage. Each year, many workplace accidents involve electric shocks or burns, often linked to contact with overhead power lines. Even non-fatal shocks may result in falls from ladders, scaffolds, or other platforms. Risk extends beyond electrical users, faulty installations and appliances can cause fires leading to injury or death. Most accidents are preventable with proper planning and straightforward precautions.

This course provides basic measures to help control risks associated with using electricity at work. It supports organisations in meeting legal obligations and operational control requirements under ISO 45001:2018.
