Course Overview

This two-day training course is designed to enhance auditor competence in the application of Automotive Core Tools during process and system audits. It serves as an essential prerequisite for professionals aiming to qualify or renew their VDA 6.3 Process Auditor or IATF 16949:2016 1st/2nd Party Auditor qualifications. The course focuses on the practical use of core tools in typical audit scenarios to ensure audit effectiveness and uphold quality standards. Participants will benefit from networking opportunities with peers from various backgrounds and receive a globally recognised course completion certificate.

• Technical lectures on individual Automotive Core Tools including:
  • RGA / APQP
  • VDA 2 / PPAP
  • FMEA
  • VDA 5 / MSA
  • CMK / PPK / CPK / SPC
  • 8D Problem Solving
• Practical exercises and case examples in the context of audits
• Group work, individual activities, and plenary discussions emphasising practical application

Pre-requisites: Prior knowledge and expertise in Automotive Core Tools is required. 

Examination & Certification 

A knowledge test will be administered at the end of Day 2 consisting of objective questions totaling 30 marks. Participants must achieve a minimum score of 21 marks (70%) to pass. Successful candidates will receive a VDA e-certificate on Automotive Core Tools for Process & System Auditors. Those who do not pass will receive a certificate of participation.
