ABOUT THE COURSE

The IATF 16949:2016 standard defines the fundamental quality management system (QMS) requirements for automotive production and relevant service parts organization. This Automotive QMS standard cannot be considered a stand-alone QMS Standard but has to be comprehended as a supplement to and used in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015. IATF 16949:2016 (first edition) represents an innovative document, given its strong orientation to the customer, with the inclusion of a number of consolidated previous customer-specific requirements. 

This course aims to explain the main requirement of 16949:2016 and its goal in the development of quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
