Singapore. TÜV SÜD PSB – a leading certification, testing, auditing, inspection and training company and the wholly owned subsidiary of TÜV SÜD Group, Germany – has recently awarded SESTO Robotics, a leading robotics company in the field of autonomous technology and a sub-arm of HOPE Technik, with the CE Attestation of Conformity. It covers the EN ISO 12100:2010 Safety of machinery – General principles for design – Risk assessment and risk reduction, the EN 1175:2020 Safety of industrial trucks – Electrical/electronic requirements and the ISO 3691-4:2020 Industrial trucks – Safety requirements and verification – Part 4: Driverless industrial trucks and their systems for their Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), SESTO Magnus.

The Attestation of Conformity issued by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH, was handed over by Mr. Richard Hong, CEO, TÜV SÜD ASEAN to Mr. Ang Chor-Chen, CEO of SESTO Robotics. The ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Ho Sian Nee, Account Manager, Commercial & Professional Services, Economic Development Board, Mr. Terrence Teo, President, Singapore Industrial Automation Association, Mr. Ray Wang, Senior Development Partner, Standards, Enterprise Singapore, Mr. Michael Leong, HOPE Technik and Chairman of Robotics and Automation Technical Committee under the Singapore Standards Council, and Mr. Holger Lindner, CEO, Product Service, TÜV SÜD.

Designed and built for material transportation, SESTO Magnus is a bi-directional, compact AMR which can be easily deployed by operators to carry payloads of up to 300kg, the highest payload rating in its compact class. With this awarding of the CE Attestation of Conformity for SESTO Magnus, the AMR built specially for applications where tight navigation space-scarce facilities are involved, complies with the EU regulation, enabling its access to the EU market.
