This course introduces the regulatory requirements and the supporting standards associated with the safety-related design of machinery. The course introduce the certification requirements and the design requirements, which have a significant influence on the design and therefore cost of machinery. The two-day course covers the same subject matter as the one-day course but the inclusion of exercises and activities produces a much better understanding and retention of knowledge.

Richard Brooks, Technical Trainer, and Technical Advisor. Working as a Technical Trainer and Technical Advisor for 2 years and previously, Technical Sales. Previously, a consultant advising on machinery safety and CE-marking for over 10 years and also 5 years working for the Health and Safety Laboratory.
Engineering degree qualified, 11 years as a machine designer, 11 years delivering technical consultancy on machinery safety, 5 years working at the Health and Safety Laboratory (part of the HSE). Now concentrating on delivering and developing training on the subject of machinery safety. Currently delivering training for a very broad range of attendees, in open courses and in courses for single companies, ranging from a few attendees to more than 50 in multiple sessions.
