Webinar
This webinar recorded in February 2022 provides an introduction to control valves, and explores the various topics related to evaluating their performance. It gives a brief overview of the different types of control valve and the characteristics of each design including:
• Factors affecting performance
• Valve wear due to cavitation and erosion, and installation/piping effects.
• Flow test standards and methods for validating valve performance, including Flow Coefficient(Cv) and Fluid Recovery(Fl) testing.
Tariq Boussouara
Project Engineer
Tariq Boussouara is a project engineer at TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory. He is the technical lead for wet and dry gas calibrations and for valve flow testing. He is also the custodian of temperature calibrations at the facility and an independent witness for flow calibrations. He is currently involved in Valve failure investigations and control valve Cv performance testing.
Tariq joined the company after graduating from the University of Strathclyde where he studied Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics. His main areas of expertise are fluid mechanics, process engineering, pipework design, heat transfer, wet gas and multiphase flow and erosion.
