This landmark hotel is located at Finnieston Quay, Glasgow. The project is in the vicinity of the iconic Finnieston Crane and the highly successful Hydro Arena and is the first “Radisson Red” Hotel to be built in the UK.
The project consists of 176 bedrooms and also provides Ground Floor Conference facilities, Bar, Restaurant and Gym, with supporting back of house services. The 9th floor “Sky Bar” with open terrace area features Private Dining at this level.
The Hotel incorporates state of the art IT facilities, with high emphasis on energy efficiency including the use of LED lighting, water saving devices, high efficiency plant and CHP.
As part of our collaborative approach to working with the Client and the design team, TÜV SÜD developed a coordinated M&E services model to BIM Level 2 from an early stage in the project design. This approach added significant value to the M&E scope of service by allowing efficiencies integral to the build and associated costs to be established at an early stage.
