Services provided: MEP, Energy, Sustainability. Whist also advising on such areas as Fire, Acoustics, FM, Life Cycle replacement and utilities.
Achievement: The scheme achieved a BREEAM 'Excellent' and an Energy Performance Certificate of 'B'
The building provides a range of primary care, clinical and social care and voluntary help services for the population of Eastwood under one roof. It features GP Services, Outreach clinics, Physiotherapy & Podiatry Services, Adult & Older Peoples Metal Health Services, Children & Family Services, Rehabilitation & Enablement Services, Voluntary and Independent Sector organizations and CHCP support staff and management.
A key driver was to fall in line with the SFT Reference Community Healthcare programmes which required the overall cost / programmes targets to be achieved fully.
TÜV SÜD were involved at the early stage of the project to determine such areas as orientation of the building, external wall and window materials, which then allowed us to minimise the building services solutions and achieve the relevant energy performance for the building.
