The Project sees the redevelopment of three city centre blocks on the south bank of the River Clyde to create an exciting mixed use development consisting of up to 1 million sq ft of Grade A Commercial Office space, over 300 Private Rental Sector Flats, associated amenity space and stunning public realm landscaped areas.
TÜV SÜD have been working with Drum over the past year to assist in securing the project. The creation of such a dynamic space involves significant infrastructure changes and TÜV SÜD have led the utility package to co-ordinate the disconnections, diversions and new connections.
A major part of the new development will be the new campus for Barclays which seems them initially take 470,000 sq ft with options on a further 210,000 sq ft. TÜV SÜD have worked closely with the Barclays team to develop proposals for this state of the art high tech campus. Our expertise in resilience, business continuity and infrastructure played a key part in efficiently moving through the early design stages.
Our Sustainability team have led on delivering a solution which achieves a high level of energy efficiency and our vertical transportation team have undertaken lift traffic analysis studies which will be key to ensuring a high level of user satisfaction.
