TÜV SÜD earns Platinum status in EcoVadis CSR rating

TÜV SÜD has reached Platinum status in the EcoVadis CSR Rating. This makes TÜV SÜD AG one of the most sustainable companies of all the participants in its industry worldwide. EcoVadis rates the CSR performance of companies across four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

“We are delighted to receive Platinum status as third-party confirmation that our CSR activities are well-focused and effective. Our Platinum rating gives us the momentum to launch further actions; after all, the goals we have set ourselves are still a long way off”, explains Prof. Dr. Axel Stepken, CEO of TÜV SÜD AG.

Over recent years, TÜV SÜD has analysed and launched CSR topics across all functions and areas of the group and integrated new policies into its Corporate Management Manual. Responsibility for ESG management rests with the Board of Management of TÜV SÜD AG. Prof. Dr. Matthias J. Rapp, CFO of TÜV SÜD AG and in charge of coordinating ESG management, is likewise very pleased: “Corporate Social Responsibility has always been part of our corporate DNA. The measures that we stepped up some years ago have fallen on fertile ground, enabling us to achieve a lot in a relatively short time. I am happy to see that this is also recognised by external organisations.”

TÜV SÜD has improved its CSR performance – in some cases significantly – across all four themes of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
