In June, the 2021 Consumer IoT Security Forum organised by TÜV SÜD and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and co-organised by AIoT User Group has been successfully held.
With the theme, “Security technology. Security regulation. Security ecosystem”, the forum attracted senior leaders and guests from well-known enterprises, such as European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), Bosch, Arcelik, Henkel, Huawei, ZTE, Xiaomi, Dahua, Tuya Smart, etc. to discuss the security of consumer Internet of Things (hereinafter, IoT). The forum provides an important exchange platform for leading enterprises in the IoT field to share front-end technologies and stimulate domestic and foreign market resources and cooperation.
Influenced by the COVID-19, the frequent use of smart devices is soaring, and information security risks are gradually increasing. With the continuous introduction and update of new regulations and policies and the rise of users’ cyber security needs, information security risks are gradually becoming a common challenge faced by global enterprises. For enterprises and manufacturers, each side can work together to maintain the good development trend of IoT products, guarantee the safety of products and reduce the IoT security risks.
In order to safeguard the IoT security development and find the best solution, the guests of this forum have thoroughly discussed and shared ideas on hot topics, such as IoT code application, IoT security technology and application, laws, regulations and compliance standards of cyber security and data protection at home and abroad. The application and challenges of IoT technology in the consumer industry also have been lively shared and discussed. The forum has finally reached a consensus that, in the future, each side will carry out more expert exchanges, technical training and other cooperation, give full play to their resource advantages in domestic and foreign markets and their respective fields, jointly promote the development of relevant industries and better meet the needs of consumers.
