Bespoke flow measurement training for industry

Bespoke flow measurement training for industry

Throughout the year, TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory organises a programme of training courses, workshops, conferences, Lunch and Learns, and other networking events for industry to help address current challenges in flow measurement.

What kind of training events does TUV SUD National Engineering Laboratory offer?

Alongside our structured programme of training courses, we also offer bespoke flow measurement training for industry. Our training programme is delivered at our flow measurement facilities in East Kilbride, however the training team is available to deliver in-house courses from any aspect of the programme to companies around the world.

We have also expanded our range of free Expert Lunch and Learn events. These more informal events will help industry fill in specific knowledge gaps based on our ongoing programme of industry engagement and consultation. We also help organise a number of knowledge-sharing networks, including the Oil & Gas Focus Group and the Produced Water Club.

To ensure the quality of the training we provide, all of our course presenters are technical consultants, who bring with them a wealth of operational experience from the field. This ensures that all our courses have the right balance between theory and practical application.

Who should attend our training events?

Anyone who deals with challenges relating to flow measurement, however typical examples might include meter manufacturers who want to focus on specific technologies, and exploration companies who want to focus on regulatory requirements in a specific part of the world.

Which topics do the flow measurement training courses cover?

They cover all the key elements of flow measurement science and engineering, including multiphase and wet gas flow measurement, the importance of calibration, flow calculations and custody transfer measurement systems. The courses are designed to give delegates an appreciation of the type of equipment, calculations and general practices that are used in upstream flow measurement.

However courses can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your business. We have a comprehensive library of knowledge (including guidance documents and research studies) that can be used to develop a training course to suit a specific audience.
