Do your guarding systems need updating? Are they in need of modification or repair? Do you have deep concerns around possibly invalidating your compliance with PUWER or CE?
TÜV SÜD have simplified what needs to be considered when updating and modifying guarding systems, what standards apply and what should be looked at to ensure your equipment stays within the boundaries of compliance. Remember, guarding isn’t just there to prevent access, it also acts to contain hazards you can see and those you can’t. We will look at some main EN standards that allow you to select the right type of guard for the application and ensure it is designed compliantly.
This down to earth approach to guarding systems and applicable standards will be followed by looking at the recently updated electrical standard EN60204-1:2018. The new standard introduces some subtle, but interesting amendments to the superseded 2006 version. We will look at these differences and see how they impact on achieving compliance when building or upgrading control panels for machinery.
To close the workshop, we will open the floor to a round of questions either on the points raised during the presentation or by answering your concerns in the wider field of machinery safety.
This workshop will be of interest to anyone involved with the manufacture, sale, modification and more importantly, use of machinery.
This workshop will bring together TÜV SÜD industry experts, joining different backgrounds and expertise to provide you with the most accurate insights about guarding systems compliance.
Workshop speakers will be revealed soon.
