COP 26 // Energy Transition Workstream

How measurement can play its role in the energy transition

United Kingdom, Scottish Enterprise Technology Park 09:30 GMT | 10:30 CEST

As countries across the world aim to meet Net-Zero greenhouse emissions obligations by 2050, COP26, a global climate change conference, is being held in Glasgow in November 2021 to support and accelerate change.

During the COP26 conference, key topics such as how to accelerate the global transition to clean energy and how to drive the global transition to zero emission transport will be at the forefront of discussions.

Running alongside the COP26 event, TÜV SÜD is hosting an Open House event on Wednesday 3rd November 2021, at their facilities in East Kilbride (10 miles from the centre of Glasgow) to discuss key flow measurement issues in industry focused on clean energy, as well as an exhibit and tour of the on-site facilities. The event will be available both in-person and online.

The session will include a special edition of the Measurement Focus Group where we will present the findings from some of our BEIS-funded clean fuels research relating to both hydrogen and carbon capture utilisation and storage, both of which will be playing a role in aiming to combat climate change.

Please be assured we will take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of all attendees in line with current COVID guidelines.
