Advances in technology have changed the ability to record, collect, analyse and share data, whilst the Internet of Things (IoT) has massively increased connectivity. As a result, vast amounts of data are now available, often in real-time. However, only a small amount of the potential benefit from this data is realised.

What data analytics services do TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory offer?

TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory’s Digital Services Team has developed a suite of tools that help users capture this vast data:

Remote Monitoring

We offer services related to remote monitoring of equipment and assets, based upon use of real-time data from users’ existing instruments, or alternatively from sensors installed and maintained by TÜV SÜD.

The condition-based monitoring service alerts the asset owner to problems well before an incident occurs, improving the safety of operations and reducing overall operational costs.

Diagnostics through Data Analytics

Data analytics interrogates data to provide end users with insights that are not immediately obvious from traditional inspection. As such, our suite of Predictive Analytics tools uses statistical modelling techniques to provide users with useful predictions based on real-time and historical data. Once developed, these tools can be used as standalone applications in real-time.

Predictive Analytics will help the client/users optimise maintenance, reduce operational risk, improve decision making and improve energy efficiency.
