Awareness Training Program on CQI-9 based on Heat Treat System Assessment (HTSA) Version 4

ABOUT THE COURSE

AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) released its first CQI-9 version in 2006; second in 2007, third in 2011, and fourth in June 2020.  CQI-9 version 4 is a Heat Treatment System Assessment that is now mandatory as a part of the customer-specific requirement in IATF 16949:2016. Internal process audits are considered with the CQI-9 standard where the heat treatment process is part of the organisation’s manufacturing processes. The goal of the AIAG CQI-9 standard implementation is the development of a heat treatment management system that facilitates continual improvement, emphasizes defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. Compliance to CQI-9 is now mandated by OEMs as “Customer-specific requirements”, hence it becomes necessary to undergo this training.

who should attend?

Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers working in Heat Treatment process, Heat Treatment Supervisors, Maintenance & Furnace Validation Engineers, Instrumentation, Calibration and Validation Engineers working in Heat Treatment and Thermal domain, New Product/Process development Engineers involved with Heat Treatment System, Internal & External Process Auditors, Quality Management Systems and Quality Engineers, who need to achieve competency and knowledge in Heat Treatment System Assessment (CQI 9 -HTSA).

Note: Educational degree in Metallurgy is not mandatory for attending this course. Responsible persons related to Heat treatment of parts, should attend. 

Training duration

1 full day

EXAM DETAILS (DURATION, PATTERN)

There will be an online post test/exam consisting of 20 questions. The questions would be multiple-choice with only one right answer and there will be no negative marking for a wrong answer. Participants need to score 60% to pass the examination. Test duration is of 40 minutes and it will be an open book, open notes test. 

CERTIFICATION

Awareness certificate on successful completion (passing the online test) or participation certificate (for those who do not pass online test) will be awarded.
