TÜV SÜD Webinar: Safe seafood production practices

27th May 2016, Munich: Seafood is an extremely popular food and is consumed in large quantities all over the world. However, contaminants like toxins, heavy metals, chemical residues as well as parasites, viruses and bacteria are found in both its ocean and aquaculture habitats. On 2 June 2016, Rahul Soman, Lead Auditor, Food, at TÜV SÜD South Asia, will hold a webinar in English that highlights the important factors in safe seafood production.

The webinar is aimed at quality and food safety experts as well as manufacturers, traders and retailers of seafood, informing them how safe production practices and the introduction of preventive programmes can ensure safe seafood. In this webinar Rahul Soman will also provide an overview of the sector’s complex supply chain and markets, and discuss the most important – and continually changing – developments in safety requirements.

Rahul Soman, has over seven years of experience in the food industry and has been conducting audits for eight years. He joined TÜV SÜD India in 2008 as a food auditor and is today Lead Auditor Food at TÜV SÜD South Asia.
