This course is intended for people wanting to learn the LOPA methodology. With the aim to actively participate in and acquire the basic knowledge to facilitate LOPA sessions/assessments and/or to establish LOPA assessments within a company.

GOALS

  • Understanding the LOPA methodology and its application
  • Ability to decide if a process needs a safety instrumented system (SIS) based on LOPA asessment
  • Identify what safety integrity level (SIL) are required and be able to define an Independent Protection Layer (IPL)
  • Understanding how to lead a LOPA study
