The course is intended for operators in process facilities, shift leaders, engineering departments, equipment manufacturers, production managers, HSE technicians and managers.

GOALS

• Identification of explosion hazards
• Definition of effective explosion protection strategies
• Introduction to the main guidelines and standards in the field of explosion protection

METHOD & DOCUMENTATION

• Day 1 - Theoretical part and case studies discussed in group
• Day 2 - Practical part: larger scale explosions and static electricity demonstration
• Training material
• Training certificate

TOPICS

• Principles of gas, vapour and dust explosions
• Relevant safety data and practical application in production facilities
• Relevant directives and norms defining the state of the art (ATEX, SUVA 2153, BGR 104, EN 1127-1, etc.)
• Safety measures for prevention and protection against explosions, and their boundaries of application
