Our new state-of-the-art emissions testing laboratory

After two years of construction and a total investment of more than 20 million Euros, TÜV SÜD is opening its new Mobility and Drive Center in Heimsheim near Stuttgart, Germany. Thus, the new emissions testing laboratory is the largest independent laboratory of its kind in Europe. With the new laboratory TÜV SÜD is doubling its testing capacity and all types of powertrains - like combustion engines, electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles - can now be tested under one roof. In the new test laboratory, emissions tests in accordance with international standards and regulations such as WLTP, 40 CFR Part 1066 and RDE can be carried out centrally at one location, thus accelerating the homologation process for vehicles in international markets.
